Mission and objectives

The Research Unit on International Security and Cooperation (UNISCI), founded in 1989, is now an independent research group. UNISCI members include more than twenty Professors and Research Fellows specialized in the field of International Security and international relations, both understood in a broad sense and from a multidimensional approach, open to different theoretical perspectives.

UNISCI aims to be a centre for dialogue between the EU and the other Mediterranean countries and a centre of reflection on politics and security in the Mediterranean.

UNISCI publications include proceedings of international conferences organized by the institute, books, UNISCI Papers (monograph series on current security issues, published either in English or in Spanish), UNISCI Journal (scientific, refereed journal with 3 issues per year: January, May and October).
