Mission and objectives

Fundación Alternativas is a progressive and independent Spanish Think Tank created in 1997 and devoted to analyse the political, economic, social, cultural, international and European realities with the aim of providing public and private decision makers proposals to improve democracy, human rights and welfare of the citizens. Fundación Alternativas has organic links with neither political party nor government, and it is funded by companies and individuals committed to renovate concept of social responsibility.

The objectives of the Euromed/Middle East programme are: Promoting through analysis and proposals peace, democracy, human rights and progress in the region; Contributing to a better mutual understanding and closer relations between the regional countries and societies: Building a new Euro Mediterranean Partnership; Improving the participation of the civil society –including the Think Tanks- in the democratic regimes.
