CEARC - Centro de Estudios Árabes Contemporáneos

Mission and objectives

The Contemporary Arab Studies Centre (CEARC) is an independent, non-profit organization with no political or religious affiliation. Our mission is to advance understanding of the contemporary Arab world among Spanish-speaking audiences by promoting rigorous research, informed policy analysis, and educational exchange. We foster dialogue and collaboration between Spanish-speaking and Arabic-speaking scholars, researchers, and institutions, while strengthening Hispano-Arab and Euro-Arab relations through knowledge, cooperation, and public engagement.

CEARC envisions becoming a leading international platform for research, dialogue, and intellectual exchange on the contemporary Arab world, with a strong presence across Spain, Latin America, and Europe. Guided by the universal values of human rights, international law, equality, and good governance, we aspire to be a trusted source of knowledge and ideas that promotes mutual understanding, academic excellence, evidence-based policymaking, and constructive cooperation between Arab and Spanish-speaking societies.
