Workshop

Minorities in the Middle East and North Africa Region

1 November 2017
Beirut

The Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs hosted the EuroMeSCo workshop on minorities in the MENA region. The meeting gathered researchers from the network and academics.

After an introductory discussion of the concept of “minority” and related terminology, three case studies were examined: Amazighs in Morocco, Christians in Syria, as well as black people in Tunisia.

The event was organised by Arab Reform Initiative, in the framework of the EuroMeSCo ENI Project, co-financed by the EU and the IEMed.
