The Global Political Trends Center organised in Istanbul a workshop entitled “Future of Syria”. 30 participants, including researchers from the network, civil society representatives, academics and practitioners discussed the preliminary results of the EuroMeSCo research group on the future of Syria. Among the main issues debated were national reconciliation and protection of minorities; military, security and counter-terrorism; state-building; and peace-keeping, reconstruction and development. The event was organised under EuroMeSCo ENI Project, co-financed by the European Union and the IEMed.
