Qatar’s foreign ministry said on Sunday 26 May, that it has been invited by Saudi Arabia to attend two emergency Arab summits taking place in Mecca on May 30, after previously saying it had not been. The two summits will be organised to discuss the implications of the drone strikes on oil installations in the Saudi Kingdom and attacks of Saudi vessels off the UAE coast earlier this month. The invitation was passed to Qatar by the head of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
