More than 40 young researchers attend the IV Euromed Young Researchers Forum!

Labelled as “Green and Digital Transition in the Euro-Mediterranean: Youth Connecting the Dots Across Economic Development, Migration and Security”, on 25 and 26 October 2021, more than 40 young researchers from all over the Euro-Mediterranean area attended the IV Euromed Young Researchers Forum in Barcelona.

The Forum was divided into four tracks:

  • 3 parallel sessions where the participants presented their research proposal under the three EuroMeSCo main topics: Migration, Security and Economic Development.
  • A practitioners’ perspectives session, where the participants engaged in an open exchange with green and digital practitioners to share ideas and experiences. This session showcased the translation of research into practical applications through collaborations which accelerate the transfer of knowledge between researchers and practitioners.
  • The Policy Talks, an exchange between young researchers and policy stakeholders where the main conclusions and recommendations from the working groups were presented.
  • The EuroMeSCo Workouts. Two training sessions were offered on Infographics and Data Visualisations for Research Communication and on How to write Policy Briefs to boost young researchers’ skills.

The Forum falls under the scope of the Euromed Young Researchers Lab, that aims to empower young professionals in their respective organisations and beyond and provide a unique opportunity to stakeholders on the receiving end to benefit from fresh and innovative research, in tune with concerns and perspectives of a group that is a key target of Euro-Mediterranean policies and who will determine the future of Euro-Mediterranean relations.
