Euromed Survey 2026 | Rethinking development cooperation in times of decline

The Euromed Survey 2026 is now out!

Development cooperation is in crisis. Not only is investment falling (by 23.1% last year globally), but its very foundations, legitimacy, and governance are being questioned.

All of this is happening in a Euro-Mediterranean region where overlapping crises are intensifying: conflicts, climate change, inequality…

In the Euromed Survey 2026, we ask:

  • what effects this situation is producing,
  • how we should respond,
  • and what future cooperation frameworks should take into account.

This consultation takes the format of a Euromed Survey and targets respondents from both EU and Southern and Eastern Mediterranean countries, including policy-makers, experts, academia, civil society representatives, and the private sector.

Participate in the survey now! Feed in the current policy debates in the Euro-Mediterranean region and have your say on its future.

The Survey is open until 31 May.

The Euromed Survey is an annual publication by IEMed and the EuroMeSCo network of think tanks, which since 2010 has explored key issues on the Euro-Mediterranean agenda.

Thanks to the involvement of a wide range of experts in the field, the survey each year provides an overview of perceptions and proposals on key issues in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The results are published in a report that also includes qualitative analyses in which various experts examine the collected quantitative data in depth.
