TEPSA - Trans European Policy Studies Association

Mission and objectives

TEPSA is the first trans European research network in the field of European affairs, gathering 38 leading universities and research institutes in 35 European countries. TEPSA was established in 1974 as an international non-profit association under Belgian law. TEPSA’s aim is to provide high quality research on European integration based on a ‘Triple A’ approach: Analysis, Assessment and Advice.

TEPSA stimulates discussion on policies and political options for Europe by coordinating and disseminating research activities; organizing conferences, roundtables, workshops, trainings and activities for young researchers; providing expertise on EU and international affairs to EU institutions (for example through briefings and studies for the European Parliament authored by researchers from the TEPSA network); organizing Pre-Presidency conferences in the country that is taking over the rotating Council Presidency; and facilitating interaction between the research and policy-making communities and between citizens.
