Presenting early findings on “The future of Euro-Mediterranean migration governance under the EU Pact(s)” Joint Policy Study
EuroMeSCo, in collaboration with the IEMed and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Regional Programme Political Dialogue South Mediterranean (KAS PolDiMed), held a workshop in Vienna on 22–23 June to present preliminary findings from the Joint Policy Study: Aligning or Fragmenting? The Future of Euro-Mediterranean Migration Governance under the EU Pact(s).
The workshop, titled “Assessing the Future of Migration Governance in the Mediterranean,” convened experts, policymakers, and civil society representatives from across the Mediterranean region to discuss the study’s key findings.
Study Focus
The research examines the governance architecture of the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum alongside the future Pact for the Mediterranean. It assesses whether these two policy frameworks will strengthen coherent regional cooperation or deepen existing divisions in Euro-Mediterranean migration governance.
