Annual Conference 2026
From 4–6 June 2026, policymakers, researchers, civil society representatives and regional experts will convene in Larnaca for three days of discussions on the future of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in an increasingly competitive and fragmented global environment.
At a time when geopolitical rivalries are reshaping supply chains, infrastructure, energy and technology partnerships, the conference — “Strategic partnerships under pressure: Rewiring Euro-Mediterranean cooperation in an age of global competition” — will explore how the Euro-Mediterranean region can adapt to growing interdependence, climate pressures and shifting global alliances.

The agenda will feature thematic sessions on connectivity and resilience, regional security, energy transitions, migration dynamics, economic cooperation and the evolving role of flexible, issue-based partnerships in the region. Discussions will also address the strategic positioning of the European Union and the need to bridge internal divisions in order to strengthen its engagement across the Mediterranean.
Beyond assessing risks and emerging geopolitical trends, the conference aims to generate practical policy recommendations to make existing Euro-Mediterranean frameworks more coherent, operational and adaptable to today’s rapidly changing realities.
More information on the agenda, speakers and conference sessions will be available on the Annual Conference 2026 page in the coming weeks.
