| International seminar: "Transatlantic Perspectives on the Mediterranean" |
|
28 June 2008 On 28 June 2008, the Istituto Affari Internazionali hosted a seminar addressing how the Mediterranean region is viewed and approached in different terms by the EU and the US. Issues such nuclear energy and non-proliferation, as well as relations with the Maghreb, were analysed from a comparative transatlantic standpoint. Turkey, and its perspectives on the Mediterranean and the US, were also a main case under consideration. This seminar was organised with the support of the German Marshall Fund of the United States and the scientific expertise of the EuroMeSCo network.
