|Mapping Migration Challenges in the EU Transit and Destination Countries|
The year 2015 was a serious stress test to the stability and the cohesion of the European Union. The so-called refugee crisis was the second huge crisis – after the European debt crisis – the EU had to manage within few years. How the selected EU countries have addressed this crisis? Was there a change in their migration policies? And how the migration challenges have impacted on the overall EU policy framework?
These and other issues were discussed in the seminar held on 23 March in Budapest at the headquarters of the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade. The event marked the launching of the Joint Policy Study “Mapping the Migration Challenges in the EU Transit and Destination Countries”, coordinated by Erzsébet N. Rózsa, External Researcher at IFAT.
The event was held in the framework of the EuroMeSCo ENI Project, co-funded by the EU and the IEMed.
