EuroMeSCo "liaison officer": Ms. Carmen Claudín The Centre d’Informació i Documentació Internationals is a research, training and documentation centre on International Relations and development studies. It was established in 1973 as a non-profit association and in 1979 became a private foundation with a Board consisting of several institutions.
Main areas of focus International politics and strategic studies; development and co-operation; environment; migrations; Mediterranean and the Arab World; Latin America; Eastern Europe and the former USSR.
Activites CIDOB's main activities can be divided in: - Research including projects developed by the Mediterranean and Arab World Department; - Training: The Foundation offers three different post-graduate courses: A Master in International Studies, and in Development studies, as well as a Diploma in Development Studies. Other specialised courses are also offered on a regular basis. - Seminars: Several seminars are held during the year and revolve around different subjects. Besides, CIDOB also offers training, information support and technical assistance to different agents of international co-operation, such as international organisations, governmental agencies, enterprises or NGOs.
Publications - Anuario Internacional CIDOB (Complete texts in Spanish): Written for professionals interested in International Relations, the publication is divided into three main sections: Spanish foreign relations, the new Europe and world politics. - Revista CIDOB d'Afers Internacionals (Complete text in the original language of the article; abstracts in English): Relevant questions of world politics are analysed from political, economica and social perspectives. Most issues are expert-co-ordinated monographs. - Revista d'CIDOB (Summary of contents in Catalan): Monographs on different subjects related to issues dealing with international co-operation. - Dossier (Complete texts in the original language): A Publication that aims at promoting the flow of ideas in the Mediterranean, and that includes texts of researchers and experts in the area. - Butlletí Bibliogràfic (Papers followed by a summary in Catalan and French): Selection of papers on the Maghreb.
