 Paths to democracy and inclusion within diversityThe 2006 EuroMeSCo Annual Conference was held in Istanbul on 5-7 October 2006. It promoted a meaningful exchange among the network and a broad range of political, economic and civil society actors from Europe and the Southern Mediterranean. It evaluated progress made with respect to the creation of a democratic, prosperous and peaceful Euro-Mediterranean community — the ultimate goal of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and discussed the latest political developments in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
