General Statement The Research Unit on International Security and Cooperation (UNISCI), founded in 1989, is one of Complutense University of Madrid’s research groups. UNISCI members include more than twenty Professors and Research Fellows specialized in the field of International Security.

Objective of the Euromed / Middle East programme The group has published around 20 books on the Mediterranean and published a scientific journal (400.000 entries a year from 165 countries). It tries to be a centre for dialogue between the EU and the other Mediterranean countries and a centre of reflection on politics and security in the Mediterranean and cultural dialogue.
Publication UNISCI publications include books by UNISCI members, as well as the proceedings of international conferences organized by the institute. UNISCI Papers is a monograph series on current security issues, published either in English or in Spanish. UNISCI Discussion Papers is a scientific, refereed journal with 3 issues per year: January, May and October. The thematic scope is that of International Relations and International Security, both understood in a broad sense and from a multidimensional approach, open to different theoretical perspectives.
