The Institute for Social Sciences provides expertise in Euro-Mediterranean relations. Several current research projects work for instance on Euro-Turkish relations, South East Europe, borders and conflicts in Southern Europe, processes of inclusion and exclusion between Europe and its Southern neighbours. A concrete example is the research project „Mobility/Identity/Transition in the Euro-Mediterranean Area“.
